Marvin Windows and Doors get an A+ rating
I mentioned Marvin windows in an article about the Artist’s Studio.
I have used Marvin products for at least 25 years. By adjusting product details as issues arise and by heeding market demands, this is an American company that gets everything right. The evolution of their product line has led to unsurpassed aesthetic quality and function.
No, this is not a shill for the Marvin Company.
These windows are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Marvin will make any size and type of window and a huge variety of standard sizes.
In older homes, it is a ton of work to remove and replace windows. It involves re-trimming the interior and exterior, siding and plaster repair, custom mill work for the trim, and a lot of painting.
With the Tilt Pac units you measure sill-to-head and side-jamb-to-side-jamb and Marvin custom makes the sash with great design sash tracks. You simply remove the interior stops and parting strips, take out the old sash and install the Tilt Pac. I have done a number of these installations, and with careful measuring, it is a very efficient and cost-effective system. The sash can be specified to match any divided light layout. With true divided light or simulated divided light, these units will match any architectural style. You may select the hardware finish too.
Take a look at these products. The other thing is … Marvin delivers their custom-made products in a dependable 3 to 4 weeks. Let me know what you think.
